TO A DEPARTED LOVE ONE

Memories of our loved ones are always there to cherish
Although his mortal body may have perished
How he loved us and cheered us up when we were down
And his smile brought us pleasures abound
Even with his struggles, he showed us strenght to the end
And we'll always love him, our husband, father and friend.

THE OLD HOUSE

Footsteps echo as the old man rises
Rises from his seclusion of the day
With his decaying body creaking of age in a fearful wind
And his cracking foundations crumbling under him
A social misfit
Uncared for and dying from the want of kindness
An Anachronism for civilisation
Yet,civilisation brought him into the world
And is now provoking his destruction
