Lost Love

Shattered dreams, a broken heart
As I watch my world falling apart
In your face I knew something was amiss
As I felt you pull away from my tender kiss
It happened so fast in a twinkling of an eye
With just that one word you made me cry
Caring for you is the price I pay
To have my hope just stripped away
My world I built around you with a love so true
But that wasn't enough ,you wanted something new
So I sit here & cry to the heavens above
