London Bombing 2005

Watching the TV I wonder why,
Innocent people have to die.
And there is so much sorrow and pain,
All for political greed and gain.
I see all the faces grim with sorrow,
Wondering what will happen tomorrow.
Bombs exploding in buses and trains,
Part of the tyrannical, terrorist reign.

Glued to the screen I watch and stare,
In amazement of what has happened there.
Wishing I could help but I’m out of reach,
To stop the murderous, terrorist leech.
I thank God all my family is safe here with me,
And our one family traveller is kept in safety.
To all the victims and their families there,
I send you love and keep you in prayer.
